Sunshine Goat Farm is a Boer goat production and Boer goat Sale operation in East Texas just 2 miles north of Nacogdoches, Texas off US Highway 259. Terry and Geri Fuller have been raising goats for approximately six years. In the beginning the goats were mostly Nubian and Spanish cross bred goats. The goats were purchased to clear brush from the pastures and woods.

Approximately three years ago, the first 100% Traditional Boer goats were purchased by Sunshine Goat Farm. Then In 2006 several colored Boer goats were purchased from Troy Powell at the Little League Ranch including a young black buck named Mr. League's Magic Black Lignite DOB 11-30-05. With the introduction of the black boer goats on Sunshine Boer Goat Farm, the pastures will never look the same. There are lots of color mixed in with the traditional goats now. Magic Black Lignite has thrown mostly black, red, black and red paints, and a few traditional kids. Having the color introduced has made the kidding season so interesting. We never know what color markings the boer kids will have until they are born. We often say it is like finding Easter Eggs.

Colored Boer Goats were purchased at the goat auction at the East Texas Goat Raisers Association Auction in Jacksonville, Texas and at Little League Ranch's goat auction in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Sunshine Goat Farm have Traditional Boer Goats for sale as well as Black Boer Goats, Red Boer Goats, and Black and Red Paint Goats and kids. Goats for Sale at the Farm are gentle raised and easy to manage. They come when they are called and many of the Boer goats like to be touched. Mr. League's Magic Black Lignite, Sunshine Goat Farm's Sire, has a gentle easy going nature, and he has passed it on to his kids.

Sunshine Goat Farm has two goat livestock guardian dogs. The farm has a male Great Pyrenees dog named Boss Man and a female 50/50 % Great Pyrenees/Anatolian named Keena, who protect the goats from predators. It is expected that the pair will have puppies this year and the goat livestock guardian puppies will be for sale. Keena is about a year old. She is very athletic and climbs over the fences to go from pasture to pasture. In addition to dogs as protectors, we have two large horses named Apache and Revel who will chase down any stray dogs or coyotes that happen into the pasture.

Sunshine Boer Goat Farm is relatively new to the boer goat industry. The boer goat sale by the Fullers has been minimized by the retention of many of the goats raised. The boer goat sale by the farm is now taking on a new era of having the capability to offer traditional boer goats as well as colored boer goats for sale.

Most of Boer Goats at Sunshine Boer Goat farm are gentle and are easy to handle. The boer goats at Sunshine Goat Farm like attention, and call out to the Fuller's whenever they are within sight. Many of them come running when called and the rest meander on over. Moving them from one pasture to another is not a problem.

Some of Sunshine Goat Farm's customers have stated that since their purchase of the gentle boer goats from Sunshine Goat Farm, they mixed their skittish goats with them, and now they can handle them all as needed. The addition of the gentle goats helped tame the skittish ones.
